'Home Alone' actor John Heard dies
John Matthew Heard Jr. (March 7, 1945 – July 21, 2017) was an American film and television actor.
On July 21, 2017, Heard was found dead in a hotel in Palo Alto, California where he was reportedly recovering after undergoing back surgery. His death was confirmed by The Santa Clara Medical Examiner's office

1- Got his start onstage in the '70s, appearing in plays on and off-Broadway.
2- Won the Theatre World Award for his performance in the Vietnam drama G.R. Point (1977) and Won OBIE Awards for Best Performance for G.R. Point (1976-77), Othello and Split (both 1979-80).
3- Made his feature-film debut with a lead role in 1977's Between the Lines.
4- Inducted into the Gonzaga College High School Theatre Hall of Fame in 2003.
5- Was married to his first wife, Margot Kidder, for only six days.
